Doyle LLP Trial Lawyers has initiated a suit against AMCO Insurance Company and its adjusters alleging wrongful denial of workers’ compensation insurance benefits in violation of the duty of good faith and fair dealing.
Doyle LLP’s client suffered an injury on June 27, 2011 when he fell from a ladder while at work. The impact of the fall was severe enough that it resulted in the need of foot surgery with an orthopedic surgeon, who also indicated that continued treatment was necessary. Nonetheless, AMCO Insurance Company subsequently denied his claim, alleging that he was medically stationary and needed no further medical treatment. As a result, Doyle LLP’s client went without necessary workers’ compensation income and medical benefits for an extended period of time, until the Industrial Commission of Arizona issued an Order requiring benefits to be paid.
