Services, Ltd. (“Parker Drilling”) and Exxon Mobil Corporation d/b/a Exxon Neftegas for negligent operations leading to a serious lumbar spine/low back and leg injury suffered by its client. At the time of the incident, Doyle LLP’s client was working for Parker Drilling on the Berkut Platform, which is located near Sakhalin Island, Russia.

Due to a failure in the platform’s HVAC system, a broken latch on the interior door, and open doors on the work area side of the fire door, the pressure in the accommodation area where Doyle LLP’s client was located was much lower than the pressure higher air pressure in the warehouse area. As a result, when he opened the fire door between those two areas, it blew open and threw him against the wall, injuring his lumbar spine and leg. The suit alleges that Parker Drilling and Exxon were negligent in creating the condition that caused its client’s injuries.

The suit seeks recovery of lost wages and medical expenses and compensation for pain and suffering, mental anguish, and physical impairment, among other damages.
