Doyle LLP Trial Lawyers has filed suit against Red River Waste Solutions, LP in Val Verde County District Court (Del Rio, Texas) alleging wrongful termination of its client under Texas Labor Code Section 451.001.
The Texas Labor Code holds that a workers’ compensation claimant may file suit against an employer who discriminates against or wrongfully terminates them in retaliation for filing a workers’ compensation claim. The suit alleges that Red River Waste Solutions wrongfully terminated Doyle LLP’s client after a May 2016 work injury.
Because of the termination, Doyle LLP’s client is suing for lost wages, mental anguish, and other damages caused by Red River Waste Solutions.
