Doyle Dennis Avery LLP Trial Lawyers has filed suit against Parker Drilling Management
Services, Ltd. (“Parker Drilling”) and Exxon Mobil Corporation d/b/a Exxon Neftegas for negligent operations leading to a serious lumbar spine/low back and leg injury suffered by its client. At the time of the incident, Doyle Dennis Avery LLP ’s client was working for Parker Drilling on the Berkut Platform, which is located near Sakhalin Island, Russia.
On April 28, 2016, the Houston Court of Appeals for the 1st District denied Diamond Offshore Services’ request for a rehearing en banc, choosing to uphold the decision by a three-judge panel that had previously affirmed the verdict for a Doyle Dennis Avery LLP client against Diamond Offshore Services in July 2015.
On September 28, 2016, a Wake County Superior Court Jury (Raleigh, North Carolina) found that former North Carolina State Trooper Reginald Newberne had been wrongfully fired by the Department of Public Safety for reporting misconduct by other troopers implicated in the unjustified assault of a young man during an arrest and awarded compensatory damages of $1.9 million, including $700,000 in economic damages to Mr. Newberne’s career and $400,000 in non-economic damages. The jury also found that the violation was willful, entitling Mr. Newberne to attorneys’ fees, costs, and potentially additional damages.
Doyle Dennis Avery LLP Trial Lawyers has filed suit against Creative Resource Group LLC n/k/a Onpoint Industrial Services, LLC on behalf of an employee who was terminated following a work injury. The suit was filed under the Texas Labor Code § 451.001, for wrongful termination and discrimination. The case will be heard by a jury in Nueces County District Court, located in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Doyle Dennis Avery LLP Trial Lawyers has filed suit against NGL Energy Operating LLC in Harris County District Court (Houston, Texas) for violations of Texas Labor Code Section 451.001, following its client’s May 2015 work injury.
