Doyle LLP vs. SCF Waxler Marine, LLC

JONES ACT SEAMAN

Doyle LLP Trial Lawyers was recently retained to represent a Jones Act seaman in an offshore injury case against SCF Waxler Marine, LLC d/b/a SCF Liquids.  The suit was filed in Harris County, which is located in Houston, Texas.

The suit arises from a June 2014 injury suffered by Doyle LLP’s client, while working aboard the Defendant’s vessel, the M/V SCF Gateway.  While the vessel was at the Sneed Shipyard in Harris County, Texas, Doyle LLP’s client slipped on a slippery staircase while attempting to move vessel equipment.  The suit alleges Jones Act negligence and unseaworthiness due to SCF Waxler Marine’s failure to provide a safe work environment, a competent crew, and proper safety equipment.

As a result of the incident, Doyle LLP’s client suffered from serious injuries to his neck, back, right shoulder, right triceps, and body and has filed suit for damages that include, lost wages, medical bills, mental anguish, pain and suffering, and impairment.
