Doyle Files Workers’ Compensation Bad Faith Suit Against ACIG, Sedgwick
On May 16, 2011, Doyle filed a workers’ compensation bad faith lawsuit against American Contractors Insurance Group (ACIG), third-party claims administrator Sedgwick, and their adjuster, on behalf of an employee who was injured on the job in February 2010. Without reason, ACIG and Sedgwick denied the employee financial and medical benefits after his on-the-job injury, and only initiated benefits after being order to do so by the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation.
In addition, the employee’s lawsuit includes a wrongful dischage claim against his former employer, who fired the employee immediately upon reporting his injury to his supervisor.
Doyle is proud to assist this injured employee in holding accountable ACIG, Sedgwick and its adjuster, and his former employer for their actions.
