Wrongful Termination – Personal Injury

Doyle LLP Trial Lawyers has filed suit against Supply Network Inc. d/b/a Viking SupplyNet (“Viking SupplyNet”) for wrongful termination under Arizona law.
Arizona law provides a cause of action for retaliatory termination to a worker injured on-the-job. Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 23-1501(3)(c)(iii). The suit was necessitated by Viking SupplyNet’s discriminatory misconduct and then retaliatory discharge of Doyle LLP’s client for filing an on the job injury claim and seeking benefits under the Arizona worker’s compensation laws. Doyle LLP’s client, a loyal and hard-working employee of Viking SupplyNet, was injured while working on the job on July 29, 2015.

Following his work injury, Viking SupplyNet began taking discriminatory actions against Doyle LLP’s client, culminating in his wrongful firing on August 5, 2015, only days after his injury and at the same time he was seeking insurance benefits – a protected activity. The claimed basis was a pretext for illegal and wrongful misconduct and firing in violation of Arizona law. Employers may not fire or otherwise discriminate against employees because they received an injury on the job and pursued protected activity.

Doyle LLP is proud to represent this injured worker who was subsequently terminated by his employer. Contact us today if you or someone you know suffered from retaliatory conduct or termination following a work injury.
