Doyle LLP Trial Lawyers goes up against United Airlines, Inc. (“United”)
Doyle LLP Trial Lawyers has initiated a suit against United Airlines, Inc. (“United”) under the Montreal and Warsaw Conventions for injuries suffered by its client, a passenger on a roundtrip flight from McAllen, Texas to Switzerland.
On August 31, 2014, Doyle LLP’s client was injured in a hard landing at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, in Houston, Texas. The impact of the landing was so severe that the overhead paneling (beneath the luggage storage bins and above the Plaintiff’s head) collapsed and landed on the passenger, resulting in injuries to his head, neck, and shoulders. As a result of the injury, Doyle LLP’s client has suffered lost wages, physical impairment, mental anguish, and pain and suffering, among other damages recoverable under the Montreal and Warsaw Conventions.
The Montreal and Warsaw Conventions are international treaties that offer broad protections to passengers injured aboard international flights, aimed at ensuring that airlines, like United, are held responsible for injuries caused to passengers.
